1. Tourist Visa

Application Process:

e-Visa: Apply online through the official Myanmar e-Visa portal.

• Passport: Valid for at least six months from the date of entry.

• Accommodation Details: Proof of hotel bookings or an invitation letter from a host in Myanmar.

  • Multiple Entry: Valid for three months, six months, or one year, with each stay not exceeding 70 days.

e-Visa: Apply online through the official portal.

Requirements:

• Invitation Letter: From a registered Myanmar company or organization.
• Company Registration Documents: Proof of the inviting company’s legal status.
• Employment Proof: Letter from your employer stating the purpose of the visit.
• Visa Fee: Payment of $70 USD.
• Processing Time: Approximately three working days.
• Embassy Visa: If e-Visa is not applicable, submit your application at the nearest Myanmar embassy or consulate.

3. Social Visa

• Purpose: For visiting relatives or friends residing in Myanmar.
• Validity: Allows a stay of up to 70 days; extensions may be possible.

Embassy Visa: Apply at a Myanmar embassy or consulate.

Requirements:

• Invitation Letter: From a Myanmar citizen or a foreigner with legal residence in Myanmar.
• Proof of Relationship: Documents verifying familial ties, if applicable.
• Visa Fee: Payment of $50 USD.

4. Employment Visa

• Purpose: For individuals seeking employment in Myanmar.
• Validity: Allows a stay of up to 70 days; extensions are possible based on employment contract.

Application Process:

Embassy Visa: Application must be made through a Myanmar embassy or consulate.

Requirements:

• Employment Contract: Signed agreement with a Myanmar-based employer.
• Company Registration: Documents from the employing company.
• Educational Qualifications: Relevant certificates and resumes.
• Visa Fee: Payment of $50 USD.

• Visa Exemptions: Currently, Myanmar offers visa-free entry only to select ASEAN countries. African nationals are generally required to obtain a visa prior to arrival. 
• Entry Points: Ensure you enter Myanmar through designated ports of entry, especially when holding an e-Visa. (It’s recommended for African passport holders to travel by air.)
• Passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
• Proof of Accommodation and Return Travel may be required upon arrival.
• Stay informed about any travel advisories or health requirements, such as vaccinations, before traveling.
• Travel with between $1000 to $2000 cash incase of any issues encountered during your Journey.
